Box Score LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Sewanee field hockey team saw the 2019 season come to a close on Saturday in the semifinals of the 2019 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Tournament with a defeat to No. 14 Centre, 5-0, Saturday from Pat Deacon Stadium on the campus of Transylvania University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Centre scored twice in the first seven minutes of the contest and had a 4-0 lead at the break.
-The Colonels added a fifth goal in the third quarter.
-Centre is ranked 14th in the latest National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) coaches poll.

-Barbara Canty (6-11) earned one save in full time for Sewanee.
CENTRE KEY STATISTICS
-Megan Coomes and Savannah Elpers each had four total shots, two on goal, to lead the Colonels. Coomes scored twice, while Elpers found the back of the cage once.
-Kristen Mulcahy (15-0) played the first half in goal for Centre.
