SEWANEE, Tenn. – Shepard Ramsey scored a pair of goals, while Sewanee dominated in shots on target, as the Tigers defeated the Kenyon Owls, 4-1, on Friday afternoon.

Sewanee tallied nine shots on target and only conceded two. The Tigers garnered four penalty corners as well.

With under six minutes to go in the second quarter, Keegan Southall slotted the ball to Caroline Bridges just inside the top of the circle. Bridges dribbled the ball toward the goalie and tapped it in.

Three minutes into the third period, Hazelrigg rebounded a ball off the left post and then deflected it off the stick of a defender, with Patty Arwine recovering the ball from the left side and scoring.

The Tigers took a 3-0 lead in third after Ramsey converted on a penalty stroke with 6:23 remaining.

Midway through the fourth, Natalie BeVier inserted a penalty corner to the top, finding Shepard Ramsey, who swung and scored from the circle.

Gigi Johnson gave Kenyon its lone goal in the final minute.

The Tigers visit Wittenberg on Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT.
