Women's Soccer Falls to No. 13 Lynchburg

SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee women's soccer team suffered a 4-0 defeat to the hands of 13th-ranked Lynchburg Sunday afternoon from Puett Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The defense stood tall for the first 38 minutes of action for the Tigers, but the 13th-ranked team in the nation in Lynchburg scored two goals in the 39th and 42nd minutes.

-The Hornets added goals in the 56th and 60th minutes in the second half.

-Lynchburg held Sewanee to two shots in the contest.

-The Hornets are ranked 13th in the D3soccer.Com Poll. 

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Sam Morgan and Caitlin Fahr each took a shot for the Tigers in the contest.

-Hanna Judycki (0-5-2) saved five shots in full time.

LYNCHBURG KEY STATISTICS
-Kennedy Jakubek scored two goals on six total shots and added an assist.

-Delia LoSapio (5-1) played 59 minutes in goal and collected the win.

UP NEXT
Sewanee returns to the road for the next three games. Their first stop will be in Decatur, Ga. for a midweek contest at Agnes Scott. The match is scheduled for Tuesday evening at 4:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. CT.
