HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee did not take long to get on the board. In the eighth minute, Ceara Caffrey found Hannah Tompkins' pass for her seventh goal of the season.
-In the 25th minute, the Tigers struck the back of the cage again off the stick of Milly Etheridge's sixth goal of the year.
-The Hawks would trim the lead back down to one goal late in the first half. At the 31st minute, Katherine Bernier netted her second goal of the year.
-Defense was the name of the second half. Despite Becker taking six shots to Sewanee's five, the Tigers held strong and did not allow the equalizing goal.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Ceara Caffrey recorded one of the goals on eight shots, five on goal.
-Milly Etheridge also added a goal on five shots, four on goal, for the Tigers.
-Abbie Wrather posted a defensive save in the contest.
-Kadie Hicks (3-1) saved seven shots in full time for Sewanee.
BECKER KEY STATISTICS
-Katherine Bernier netted the lone goal on three shots for the Hawks.
-Victoria Pilpel (0-1) saved six shots in the first half.
