"It was an incredible game, full of momentum changes and opportunities for both teams," said Coach Michele Dombrowski after the game. "We definitely had success with some of the little adjustments we've made in the last few weeks. The players were connecting and executing with a confidence that will allow us to make a deeper run into the tournament in the future. I am confident that today will inspire them in the off-season, and while we will miss our four seniors, they have left a legacy that the returners want to honor."
Saturday's game was the final collegiate competition for Sewanee seniors Emma Horgan, Kya Wence, Kate Roe and Janie Spilman.
The win will send Centre to the SAA championship game on Sunday against Rhodes College.
