SEWANEE, Tenn. (Oct. 14, 2014) – The Sewanee women's soccer team won its fourth straight match Tuesday, as the Tigers defeated visiting Agnes Scott 2-0 at Puett Field.
Sewanee is now 9-3 overall and heads back into Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play this weekend tied for the league lead.
In the first half, freshman Jordan Najmabadi continued her recent scoring streak with another goal. Najmabadi has now scored four times over the past three contests.
In the final 45 minutes of action Sewanee found the back of the net again, when Grace Priest fired a shot over the keeper's head from 15 yards out.
Overall, Sewanee outshot Agnes Scott 20-0.
The Tigers return to action with a 2:00 p.m. at rival Rhodes, Friday.
