Box Score ROANOKE, Va. (Sept. 22, 2012) – A balanced scoring attack led host Roanoke to a 4-0 victory over the Sewanee women's soccer team, Saturday, at Kerr Stadium.
Roanoke had two goals each half, all scored by different players.
The Maroons scored quickly, when Ashley Barnes converted a pass from Rebekah Adams off a corner kick in the second minute. Moments later, Roanoke pushed its lead to 2-0 when Cindy Suttora scored, again off an assist by Adams.
In the second half, Adams finally found the back of the net herself with a goal at the 51:01 mark. Two minutes later, Adams added her fifth point of the contest, when she found Carmen Graves down the left side for the matches' final goal.
Overall, the Maroons led Sewanee in shots 14-7. The Tigers were led individually by Jamie Samociuk, who finished with two shot attempts.
Sewanee quickly returns to action with a 1:00 p.m., match, Sunday, against Randoph-Macon.
