Tigers fall at No. 2 Emory, 9-0

ATLANTA (Sept. 15, 2012) – Playing the No. 2 team in the nation, the Sewanee women's soccer team dropped a 9-0 decision at Emory Saturday.

The Eagles used their high-powered offense to score eight first half goals. In the second half, Sewanee managed to hold off Emory until Veronica Romero tapped in a rebound attempt off the crossbar.

Overall, Emory outshot Sewanee by 35 attempts. Individually, Bobbe Chaffin, Bess Goodman, and Ellie Quinn led Sewanee with one shot each.

The Tigers return to action in one week, when Sewanee travels to Roanoke. That match is scheduled to kickoff at 1:00 p.m., (EST).
