AUBURNDALE, Fla. 3/18/12 - Clarkson University defeated the Sewanee Tigers 16-4 today in Russ-Matt Invitational play.
With the loss the Tigers fall to 5-10 on the season.
The Golden Knights raced out to a 9-0 lead over Sewanee after four innings of play and never looked back in the 16-4 win. The Tigers mounted a brief rally in the sixth inning when they scored three runs. The inning was highlighted by a two-run triple off the bat of
Alan Komorowski.
The Tigers were led at the plate by freshman
James Snover who picked up two hits in the contest.
Jacob Simpson was charged with the loss on the mound.
Sewanee will return to action tomorrow when it faces Union College at 4:00 pm at Auburndale, Fla.
