Sewanee Women's Basketball Stops Oakwood

SEWANEE, Tenn. -- Sewanee is leading the country in three-pointers per game so far this year and held up its end of the deal Wednesday night with 13 three-pointers in a 92-56 rout of visiting Oakwood. The Tigers are averaging 9.9 three-pointers per game. They are also nationally ranked with a 14.9 steal per game average. Sewanee had 24 steals Wednesday.

Logan Miller (Franklin, Tenn., Christ Presbyterian) led Sewanee with 16 points, while Lauren Gulley (Winchester, Tenn., Franklin County) and Dani Kabbes (Chesterfield, Mo., Villa Duchesne) each had 14. Gulley is leading the squad with 13.6 points per game. Freshman Christina Johnson (Pikeville, Ky., Pikeville) was also in double digits with 12 points. Sewanee scored 40 points off the bench and 34 points off turnovers.

Sewanee is now 5-10 and will host Colorado College and Austin College this weekend.
