GREENCASTLE, Ind. – Sewanee wrapped up its 2008-09 women's basketball season at \#18 DePauw on Sunday and the host Tigers topped the visiting Tigers 75-55. DePauw led 28-17 at the half.
Senior Rachel Miller (Monterey, Tenn., Monterey) led Sewanee's scoring with 13 points. Sophomores Lauren Gulley (Winchester, Tenn., Franklin County) and Carla Smiley (Nashville, Tenn., Father Ryan) were also in double digits with 11 and 10 points. Gulley also led on the boards for Sewanee with six rebounds. Cassie Pruzin led DePauw with 17 points. DePauw shot nearly 42% from the field and Sewanee was 35% accurate.
Sewanee finishes at 4-12 and 2-12 in the SCAC. The eighteenth-ranked DePauw Tigers are 21-4 and 12 in the league.
