EMORY, Va. – Sewanee faced Brescia at
Emory and Henry's tip-off tournament Saturday and NAIA school
Brescia topped Sewanee 86-55 after leading 47-21 at the half.
Dani Kabbes (Chesterfield, Mo., Villa
Duchesne) led Sewanee's offense with 10 points and nine
rebounds. Kabbes also logged three blocks and three steals.
Clarissa Houston and Brittany Bird led Brescia with 14 points each.
Sewanee was 22% good from the field, while Brescia made 52% of its
field goals.
Sewanee is now 0-2 and will open Division III
play at host Emory and Henry tomorrow. Brescia is now 4-2 so far
this year.
