The Sewanee men are 3-9 and 1-3 in the SCAC. The Tigers are looking to hit the .500 in-conference mark with wins over the Majors and the Warriors of Hendrix on Sunday (1 pm). Seniors
Bradley Pierson (Rome, Ga., Darlington) and
Ben Pursell (Franklin, Tenn., BGA) are leading Sewanee's scoring with 18.3 and 13.7 ppg averages. Fellow senior
Kenton Coleman (Ridgetop, Tenn., Greenbrier) is also averaging double digit scoring (10.1 ppg). Pursell is leading the Tiger rebounding effort, also, with a 9 rebound per game average.
Millsaps is 4-10 and 1-4 in the league. The Majors will play at Oglethorpe on Sunday. Blake Martinez is leading the Major scoring drive with better than a 14 point per game average. Chris Sanders is leading with a 6.5 rebound per game average and is also averaging in double digits.
The Sewanee women are 2-10 and coming off of a big win over Agnes Scott on Monday. The Tiger will look to senior
Rachel Miller (Monterey, Tenn., Monterey) as the veteran with fellow senior
Anne Wills (Thomson, Ga., Briarwood) suffering a season-ending ACL injury lst weekend at Oglethorpe. Miller is The Tigers also look to newcomers
Dani Kabbes (Chesterfield, Mo., Villa Duchesne) and
Linsie Wiesman (Nashville, Tenn., Father Ryan) inside. The duo are averaging 8.4 and 7.0 points per game, respectively. Both are also averaging better than five rebounds per game. Sewanee will also host Hendrix in SCAC action on Sunday (3 pm).
The Millsaps women are 8-6 and 3-2 in the SCAC so far. LaReina Adams is averaging 12.4 points per gam and better than 7 rebounds per game to lead the Millsaps effort. The Majors will play at Oglethorpe on Sunday to wrap up the SCAC road weekend.
