SEWANEE, Tenn. – Turner Chiles fired a one-under 71, and Colin Edwards added an even-par 72 to lead Sewanee on the final day of the Capital City Classic at the Robert Trent Jones Capitol Hill Course in Prattville, Ala., as the Tigers climbed into a tie for fifth place.

Sewanee surged up six spots in the final round, posting a two-over 290 to finish in a three-way tie for fifth alongside Kenyon and Huntingdon.

Chiles opened his round with a birdie on hole 10 and recorded five pars with three bogies on the back nine. The sophomore found his rhythm on the front, tallying three birdies and six pars to card a one-under 71. He finished the tournament tied for 30th at eight-over 224.

Edwards delivered a steady round, beginning on hole eight with a par before birdieing nine. The senior added five pars and two bogies on the back nine, then notched birdies on holes two, five, and seven on the front. With pars on four and six, Edwards signed for an even-par 72 and tied for sixth overall at even-par 216.

Elias Becker also turned in an even-par 72. Starting on hole nine, the senior opened with five straight pars and added birdies on 14 and 15. After pars on 16 and 17, a double bogey on 18 slowed his momentum. Becker added five more pars to begin the front nine, then closed with a bogey on seven and a birdie on eight.
