SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee football coach Joe Freitag announced the hiring of Cooper Gosch as defensive coordinator and defensive line coach, effective immediately.

"Coach Gosch will play a huge role in helping Sewanee football establish the identity that is required to win football games on defense," Freitag said. "The defenses he was a part of building at Monmouth College were fantastic. His work ethic in recruiting is unmatched. Our players will love his energy and enthusiasm for the game."

Gosch native spent one season as special teams coordinator and defensive line coach at Nebraska Wesleyan in 2021, with the Prairie Wolves posting a 4-6 mark.
