Women's Swim and Dive sweep SAA Athlete of the Week Awards

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Ella Deitch and Zoe Napier were named Southern Athletic Association Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. Deitch and Napier complete the sweep for the Sewanee Swim and Dive team for week 12 of Swim and Dive Athletes of the Week.

Deitch collected three first-place finishes this weekend, in the 500 free, the 1000 free, and the 200 breast. On Friday, the sophomore swam a 5:23.73 in the 500, and added a second-place finish in the 100 breast, with a season best of 1:12.26. On Saturday, she came in first in the 1000 free with a time of 11:26.73 and the 200 breast with a time of 2:31.97. The Arnold, Md. native also swam a 4:52.60 in the 400 IM for second place. 

On the boards, Napier earned her second Athlete of the Week honors, as she swept the diving competition. On Friday, she recorded a 140.93 on the 1-meter boards and a 136.95 on the 3-meter boards. On Saturday, she posted a 153.83 on the 1-meter and a 159.38 on the 3-meter.
