Women's swim and dive defeat Asbury in Friday dual meet

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee's women's swim and dive team beat Asbury on Friday night in the Fowler Centre Natatorium, 132-86.

Sarah Beth Roady opened the meet with a win for the Tigers in the 200 free, swimming a 2:04.75, and the Tigers followed up her performance with a 1-4 sweep in the 50 free, led by Ada Digby (25.30), Audrey Francell (25.39), McKenna Reed (26.23), and Samantha Denman (26.55). Eleanor Bishop collected another first-place finish in the 200 IM, swimming a 2:19.47.

The Tigers again swept the podium in the 500 free, led by Ella Deitch in 5:32.73, followed by Adelina Willett and Audrey Francell in 5:44.52 and 5:49.61, respectively. Bishop collected another first-place finish in the 100 breast, clocking a 1:10.92, followed by Deitch in 1:12.26.

Sewanee swept the boards, led by Zoe Napier on the 1- and 3-meter, and followed by Lily Stooksbury and Anne Caroline Claud.

Sewanee returns to the pool tomorrow morning for a double dual meet against Asbury and Montevallo with an 11 a.m. start.
