SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee's
Fletcher Bigham garnered SAA Player of the Week accolades Monday, averaging 20.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in two games for the Tigers, as announced by the conference office.
The Charlotte, N.C., native posted 21 points, 10 boards and four assists versus Rhodes College, hitting five 3-pointers. He registered 20 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and five blocks in a win versus Millsaps College, adding three more triples.
Bigham recorded his ninth and 10th double-doubles of the season and his sixth outing with at least 14 rebounds. He is averaging 19.5 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.7 blocks in 14 games this season.
He leads the Tigers in scoring, rebounding and blocks and ranks third in assists. Bigham leads the nation in defensive rebounds per game (9.87), ranks third nationally in double-doubles and total rebounds and ninth in the country in blocks per game.
After an 0-6 start, Sewanee has won 6-of-8 games, including 2-of-3 to begin conference play the last two weekends.
