Women's soccer sets 2025 slate of games

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee women's soccer coach Greg Cathell announced the club's 2025 slate this week, which includes nine home games and five outings against teams that played in this past year's NCAA Tournament.
 
The Tigers begin the regular season Saturday, August 30, hosting Spalding University at Puett Field. The club faces Farmingdale State on Sunday.
 
Sewanee travels to Transylvania University on September 6 before hosting Maryville College on Sept. 10 before a short trip to Covenant College on Sept. 16. The Tigers take on Greenville University at home Sept. 20 and face Belhaven University on Sept. 23. The month ends with a home contest versus Emory University on Sept. 27.
 
SAA action begins October 3 with a Friday-Sunday road swing to Rhodes College and Millsaps College and the Tigers travel to Southwestern University (Oct. 11) the next weekend. Sewanee ends the regular season with four consecutive home matches, facing Trinity University (Oct. 18), Oglethorpe University (Oct. 24), Berry College (Oct. 26) and Centre College (Nov. 1).
 
Greenville, Farmingdale State, Trinity, Maryville and Emory all played in last year's NCAA Tournament.
 
The SAA Championships are scheduled for Nov. 5-9 in Memphis, Tenn., and the NCAA Tournament begins Nov. 15-16 at campus sites.
