Six garner At-Large Academic All-District Honors

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Six Tigers were honored on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic Men's All-District At-Large teams, as announced on Tuesday. Two student-athletes from the men's golf team and four student-athletes from the men's lacrosse team were honored.

Elias Becker and Pearse Lucas on the men's golf team, and Gus Albright, Brady Cole, Hank Walsh, and Will Kennedy on the men's lacrosse team were honored.

Becker was the SAA Co-Athlete of the year and joined Lucas on the First-Team All-Conference while Albright and Cole were named Second-Team All-Conference.

Becker and Lucas were selected to advance to the All-America ballot as chosen, along with a select group of student-athletes by the CSC All-America committee.

To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a minimum 3.50 grade-point average. Each sport included in the at-large category contained separate performance and participation-based requirements to be met by all nominees.

To be eligible for men's golf, nominees must be in the lineup for 70 percent of the institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament.
For men's lacrosse, nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.

Each school with a CSC membership may submit up to six Academic All-District nominations for the At-Large Program.
