Sewanee's NCEA team falls in ODAC Semifinals to Lynchburg, 6-4

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Olivia Carmouche tallied two points for the Tigers, but Sewanee's NCEA team battled No. 2 Lynchburg in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference semifinals on Friday afternoon, narrowly falling 6-4.

The Tigers started strong in fences, with Olivia Carmouche leading the way on Eddy, scoring an 81.5 to secure Sewanee's first point over her opponent's 76. Irene Boehm followed with a 71.5 on Hemingway, while Emma Sameth delivered a standout performance on Winston, posting a 79.5 to outscore her competitor by 20.5 points and add another tally for Sewanee. Jenna McAmis recorded a 68.5 on Cencepy, and Campbell Flanagan closed out the event with a 77.5 on Cooley.

At the midway mark, Lynchburg held a narrow 3-2 lead, with a slight edge in total points (381.5-378.5).

Carmouche once again set the tone in flat, earning an 83 to tie the overall score at 3-3. Clara Juckett followed with a strong 78.5 on Diego, securing another point for the Tigers. Sameth rode Kanye, posting a 69, followed by Boehm on Trey with an 80, and Flanagan rounded out the Tigers on Lander with a 57.5. However, Lynchburg claimed the final three points in flat to seal the 6-4 victory.
