Emory Rhodes won the pole vault while freshman
Journey Morrison finished second and Rhodes placed third in the 60-meter hurdles for Sewanee women's track and field at the Centre Indoor Invitational and Multis on Saturday in Danville, Ky.
Rhodes took first in the pole vault, clearing 10-feet, 2-inches and was third in the hurdles in 9.69 in the finals. Morrison finished second in the hurdles with a time of 9.52 in the finals. Rhodes and senior
Jocelyn Covaney were 15
th and 17
th, respectively, in the 200-meters with times of 29.02 and 29.98.
Freshman
Elizabeth Cook and sophomore
Page Wells placed seventh and ninth, respectively, in the 800-meters with times of 2:34.92 and 2:35.95. Cook also finished 10
th in the mile run in 5:25.61, with freshman
Molly Emmett in 20
th in 6:38.55. Junior
Erin Graffeo was 23
rd in the 400-meters in 1:11.83.
In the field events, senior
Kamilla Haidaienko finished 14
th in the shot put (31-feet, 10-inches) and 21
st in the weight throw (33-4).
The Tigers will host the Sewanee Invitational next Saturday before taking part in the SAA Indoor Championships in Danville on Feb. 28-March 1.
