Hussaini tallies second CFHC Athlete of the Week honors

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Freshman goalkeeper Miriam Hussaini earned her second Collegiate Field Hockey Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week honors of the season, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

Hussaini earned her first collegiate conference shutout as the Tigers defeated Centre College 3-0 on the road. The Houston, Texas native anchored Sewanee's defense during a late surge by the Colonels, stopping all three shots on goal in the final period to preserve the clean sheet.

The Tigers return home to close out their regular season, hosting Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday, Oct. 25, at noon, and Marian University on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m.
