Elias Becker posted a one-over 73 while senior

Turner Chiles and
Niel Phillips each shot 75 for Sewanee men's golf Tuesday at the Tartan Invitational at Laurel Valley Golf Club in Lithonia, Pa.
Becker started his round at No. 11 and carded birdies on holes 13, 15 and 18 as well as two bogeys on the back side. The Mexico City, Mexico, native shot two-over on the front nine with seven pars and two bogeys and ended the round with a par at No. 10 for one-over 73 and a 54-hole score of 230, tied for 40
th. He moved up 29 spots in the individual standings in the final round.
Edwards recorded 14 pars in the final round, including 8-of-9 holes on the back nine, with only a double bogey at No. 11. The Brookhaven, Ga., native posted his only birdie of the day at No. 1 and recorded two bogeys on the front nine for three-over 75 and a three-round total of 225, tied for 19
th.
Chiles began his round at No. 10 with a par and netted only one more par on the back nine, collecting birdies on holes 11, 15 and 18 and bogeys on 12, 13, 14 and 16. The Houston, Texas, native found some consistency on the front nine with seven pars and two bogeys for a three-over 75 and a 54-hole score of 228, tied for 29
th.
Phillips opened with three straight bogeys on holes 12-14 but then reeled off three birdies in a four-hole stretch at Nos. 16, 18 and 1. The New Orleans, La., native made seven pars and three bogeys over the last 10 holes for three-over 75 and a two-round score of 156. He did not play the second round Monday because of illness.
Freshman
Aidan Tudor shot one-over on the back nine, starting at 10, with birdies on 11 and 18 and three bogeys along with four pars. The New Market, Md., native struggled on the front nine with four bogeys and a double, posting a final-round 79 and a three-round score of 228, tied for 29
th.
Sewanee plays a B Team event next week at Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome, Ga., before finishing the fall season at the O'Briant Jensen Memorial at The Cardinal by Pete Dye in Greensboro, N.C., on October 27-28.
