SEWANEE, Tenn. – Piper Nelson was the Most Outstanding Player in Flat for the Tigers, but Sewanee's NCEA Equestrian team fell to the No. 1-ranked Lynchburg on Friday afternoon, 7-3.

The teams started on the flat, as Campbell Flanagan closely defeated her opponent, on Ben, with an 81. Emma Sameth collected the Tigers next point with a 72 on Frankie, and Piper Nelson, the Most Outstanding Player, recorded an 87 on Archie, sending the Tigers into fences with a 3-2 lead.

However, Lynchburg swept the fences, to secure the win. Nelson recorded the highest score for the Tigers in fences, with an 84 on Ben, just one point behind her opponent. Addison Durrett also fell by just one point on Carl, and Rebecca Love posted an 82 on Tuck.
