SEWANEE, Tenn. – Senior
Merrick Semans earned First Team All-SAA honors and junior
Sabrina Nesbitt garnered Second Team accolades, as announced by the league office after the conclusion of the conference championships this past weekend at Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn.
Semans finished seventh at the league tournament, posting rounds of 70-81-75. The Winston-Salem, N.C., native recorded a scoring average of 76.3 across 23 rounds for the academic year, tying for first with Nesbitt at the Music City Invitational in March to begin the spring season and recording two other seventh-place showings along with a tie for 11
th at the Deb Jackson Invitational earlier this month.
Semans recorded a 69 at the Montgomery Invitational in the fall and collected 18 rounds in the 70's. This marks her second consecutive First Team All-SAA honor and third straight year garnering All-Conference accolades.
Nesbitt tied for 14
th at the conference tournament with rounds of 80-80-78. The Newport Beach, Calif., native registered a scoring average of 79.3 for the year (19 rounds), though that number was 77.8 in 13 rounds during the spring semester. She tied for first with Semans at the Music City Invitational in March to start the spring campaign and placed in the Top 25 in four of the five spring tournaments.
This marks her third consecutive Second Team All-SAA honor.
