SEWANEE, Tenn. - Announced by head coach Nick DiBernardo, the University of the South men's lacrosse team, winners of the 2022 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Tournament Championship, has released its 2023 schedule. 14 games are listed, with six to be played at historic Hardee-McGee Field at Harris Stadium.

Sewanee's first two games of the year will be away from the Domain. On Feb. 12, the Tigers face the Pioneers of Transylvania University (Ky.), and on Feb. 18, Roanoke College (Va.) will host the University of the South.

Following a small break, the Tigers will open the home schedule with Adrian (Mich.) on March 4 at 1 p.m. The Bulldogs return to the schedule for the first time since the Tigers' inaugural season in 2008.

After a quick trip to Piedmont (Ga.) on March 7, the Tigers will travel to Nashville for a neutral-site contest with Messiah (Pa.) on Friday, March 10 at Montgomery Bell Academy. The two teams will meet for the first time in program history.

Spring break continues for Sewanee on Monday, March 13 with a contest versus Scranton (Pa.)
before hitting the road to Charlotte, North Carolina for a neutral-site contest with Greensboro College (N.C.) on March 16.

The Pride and Tigers will meet on the field for the first time since 2013.

The break ends on Saturday, March 18, as the Tigers open Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play with Oglethorpe in Atlanta.

The Purple and White return home on March 24 for a contest with Birmingham-Southern College under the lights at Harris Stadium for a 7 p.m. face off.

Sewanee's last non-conference test will be with Augustana (Ill.) on Tuesday, March 28.

As the calendar shifts to April, the Tigers will head west. After taking on Hendrix on March 31, the Purple Tigers will head to Memphis to take on Rhodes on April 2. This will be the first meeting between the two since Sewanee dropped Rhodes in the SAA Championship Game last May.

The Tigers will be at home for the final two games of the season with SAA foes Berry and Centre on April 8 and 15, respectively.

The 2023 SAA Tournament will take place over two weekends. The top-two teams in the league will earn a bye to the semifinals. First round, play-in games, will take place on Saturday, April 22 at the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds.
The final four teams standing in the tournament will travel to the No. 1 seed for the semifinals on Friday, April 28. The Championship occurs at the No. 1 seed on Sunday, April 30.

Nick DiBernardo enters his third season as head coach of the University of the South men's lacrosse program.
