Lacey Carder, a Freshmen Defender on the University of the South Women's Soccer team, have been named SAA Defensive Player of the Week after strong performances in her first three collegiate matches.
The Marietta, GA native logged 227 minutes played over three games, and was a stalwart of the defense, not allowing a goal while she was on the field. Sewanee went 2-1 in those three games.
Carder and her teammates will travel to Salem, VA this weekend to take on Lynchburg and Roanoke on September 10th, and September 11th respectively.
