Tigers fall to RV Trininty

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Ashley Vink made four saves in goal, but Sewanee fell to RV Trinity University, 2-0 on Friday afternoon at Puett Field in women's soccer action.

Vink kept the visiting Tigers off the scoreboard in the first half, making a diving tip save in the 37th minute to deny Trinity's most dangerous chance of the half. However, Trinity scored off the ensuing corner kick to take a 1-0 lead.

Trinity added an insurance goal early in the second half, as Talia Camin slotted the ball past Vink.

With just 40 seconds remaining, Vink made another key save, meeting a Trinity attacker at the top of the box and making a diving stop.

Amelia Comeaux registered Sewanee's lone shot on goal.

Sewanee will host Southwestern on Sunday afternoon, with kickoff scheduled for 11 a.m.
