ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) announced on Tuesday the postseason awards for women's lacrosse. Four players from the University of the South men's lacrosse team were listed on the All-SAA Team.
Luke Valentine and
Jack Westfall were named to the Second Team, while
Ryan Hofstetter and
Jack Selner were Honorable Mention members.
Valentine, a junior from Richmond, Va., finished tied for seventh in the league in points scored with 48. His 38 goals is fifth-best in the SAA this season.
Westfall, a junior from Richmond, Va., recorded 19 points on 13 goals and six assists on the year in 16 games for Sewanee.
Hofstetter, a senior from Atlanta, Ga., scored 44 points on 24 goals and 20 assists in 14 games for the Tigers.
Selner, a sophomore from Dallas, Texas, forced 27 turnovers, third-best in the league, and scooped up 36 ground balls.
Sewanee finished 8-8 on the year and captured the 2022 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Men's Lacrosse Tournament Championship.
