SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South men's lacrosse team opens the 2022 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Men's Lacrosse Tournament this weekend with a play-in game against Hendrix College Saturday night from historic Hardee-McGee Field at Harris Stadium.

TOURNEY BREAKDOWN: Centre, the regular season champions, and Birmingham-Southern earned the top-two seeds in the upcoming tournament. Both teams earn a bye to the semifinals, which will be held in Danville, Ky. on April 29 and the championship on May 1.
With a win over Hendrix on Saturday, Sewanee will rematch with the Panthers of BSC in the semifinals. On the other side of the bracket, the winner of Rhodes and Berry will battle the top-seeded Colonels.
HOFF SCORING AT THE RIGHT TIME: Senior
Ryan Hofstetter has netted at least two goals in three straight games and four of the last five games. In his last three games, the Atlanta, Ga. native has scored 10 goals thanks to a .385 shooting percentage and has totaled 15 points.
WARREN WINS THE FACE OFF: In three of his last four games, junior
Charlie Warren has earned double-digit victories at the "X". Warren won 16 face offs in both regular season contests against Hendrix and Rhodes, which helped him win the SAA Defensive Player of the Week accolade on April 11.
OREM AND SELNER MAKING THE STOPS: Joe Orem and
Jack Selner have played tough defense for Sewanee this season.
Selner leads the team with 18 caused turnovers with 27 ground balls, while Orem has contributed 13 forced turnovers and has added 30 ground balls.
