ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) released on Monday afternoon its weekly winners for men's lacrosse. The conference office chose
Charlie Warren of the University of the South as the league's Defensive Player of the Week after his performance last week.
The Pace Academy native helped Sewanee obtain possession of the ball in their three games against Oberlin, Hendrix and Rhodes. The junior won 46 face offs over the course of the week, including 16 each against Hendrix and Rhodes.
He also added 27 ground balls, including 10 against Hendrix last Friday night.
So far in league play, Warren is third in the SAA with 54 face off wins in league games. He currently has 94 and a percentage of 55.3%.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday with the regular season finale at Centre College.
