ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) announced on Monday afternoon its weekly awards for men's lacrosse. University of the South defender
Joe Orem was named the SAA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after his performance in Sewanee's two games last week against Piedmont and Swarthmore.
Orem posted 12 ground balls and forced four turnovers in Sewanee's 1-1 week, including a career-best eight in Sewanee's 16-10 win of Piedmont.
The Tigers will next play Colorado College on Monday afternoon, and the Purple and White return home on Thursday to face Muhlenberg.
