KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The United Soccer Coaches released on Monday its All-Region Teams for NCAA Division III. Two student-athletes from the University of the South women's soccer program were recognized.
Maggie O'Hare was named to the Second Team of the Region VI Team, while
Olivia Rhodes was chosen to the Third Team. Both players were named First Team All-Conference by the Southern Athletic Association (SAA).
O'Hare, a sophomore from Birmingham, Ala., tallied nine points on five assists and two goals as one of Sewanee's key midfielders. Her five assists were second-best in the SAA.
Rhodes, a junior from Friendswood, Texas, recorded six goals on the season, good for a tie for sixth in the conference. Her 24 shots on goal is tied for fourth, and her four game-winning strikes are tied for the most in the league. Additionally, she added two assists to total 14 points.
Sewanee ended the 2021 season with an 11-5-3 overall record, and they reached the finals of the SAA Tournament for the first time in program history.
