All-Time Series: Hendrix leads, 6-3
A LOOK AT THE WARRIORS: Hendrix, coming off an appearance in the SAA Title Game last spring in Little Rock, has fallen off the wagon in 2021 due to injuries. The Warriors are 2-7 overall, but they did pick up their first win in conference play with a 34-7 rout of Millsaps College last week at home.
Rayfield Conley, the reigning SAA Offensive Player of the Week, had a breakout game agains the Majors, running the ball for 147 yards on 12 carries and two scores. He is the active leader in rushing (227), followd by Anthony Johnson's 224.
Expect Hunter Holden to start for Hendrix. He has posted 745 passing yards and six touchdowns. Parker Wells, who started the year under center for the Warriors, has been battling an injury. He did play a few snaps last week against Millsaps.

On defense, Mitchell Johnson has 67 total tackles, 4.5 for a loss. Parker Turley has tallied 6.0 tackles for a loss.
LAST TIME OUT VERSUS HENDRIX: Sewanee and Hendrix met earlier in the season in a non-conference contest as each of their Week 1 matchups were canceled due to COVID-19.
The Warriors posted a 49-27 victory over the Tigers in Conway, Ark. Jeremiah Young posted 249 yards passing and three touchdowns.
Keegan Glaze led Sewanee with 15 tackles, followed by Jacob Jackson's 13.
PLAYING IN MID-NOVEMBER: With a high in the low 40s predicted for Saturday's showdown from historic Hardee-McGee Field at Harris Stadium, we have to remember that this will be the first time Sewanee has played a football game at home on the second week of November since 2015.
Hendrix was also the opponent on Nov. 15, 2015. In 2016 and 2019, the Tigers were on the road.
You can credit the SAA football schedule for giving Sewanee the bye week in Week 11 in 2017 and 2018.
THANK YOU, MARK!: This Saturday's home game will be the last for Director of Athletics, Mark Webb, who announced earlier this semester that he would retire after a 26-year mark on the University of the South Department of Athletics.
On Monday, the University will elevate Director of Tennis John Shackelford to the AD role. Now in his 37th year at the college, Shackelford spent the last 36 years with the tennis programs, 33 as a head coach of the men's program and three as the director of both the men's and women's programs.
M AND M RUNNING UP 500: Last week, Michael McGhee joined the 500-yard rushing club for Sewanee in his career. Currently sitting at 523 yards on his career, the junior is in the top-10 in the SAA with 390 on the season.
George Morrice also surpassed the 500-yard plateau earlier in the season. He currently sits at 606 rushing yards on 133 carries.
