Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee men's lacrosse team was unable to keep up with Colorado College in the second half, as the visiting Tigers scored 11 straight goals to defeat Sewanee, 14-4, Friday evening from historic Hardee-McGee Field at Harris Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-For the second straight contest, Sewanee's offense got going early. Thomas Oliver and Daniel Burnum scored the first two goals of the game to give the Tigers the early 2-0 advantage.
-Colorado College struck the scoreboard with 96 seconds left in the opening quarter, but Sewanee held a 2-1 advantage after 15 minutes of play.
-After tying the contest at two goals apiece, CC took its first lead with a man-up goal with 3:16 left in the half by Makay Hansen.
-However, with under two minutes left in the half, Kip McGuire's unassisted goal evened the game at three goals each at half.
-Colorado College came out strong in the third quarter and out-scored Sewanee 8-0 in the period. Additionally, the visitors only allowed Sewanee to just two shots in the period.
-CC added three more goals in the fourth quarter to seal the contest.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Daniel Burnum led the Tigers with two goals.
-Jack Lambeth, Ollie Baugus and Charles Dorfman each forced two turnovers.
-Hampton Brannon (0-2) stopped 14 shots and scooped up five ground balls.
COLORADO COLLEGE KEY STATISTICS
-Makay Hansen led CC with four goals, while Coby Petau and Dylan Wells each scored three times.
-Winston Chodnicki won 13 face offs, while Andrew Harwood (1-0) saved 10 shots.
UP NEXT
The Tigers will hit the road for the first time of the 2020 season next Saturday, Feb. 22 at Roanoke.
