Box Score MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Sewanee men's lacrosse team overcame a 12-6 halftime deficit by taking a 15-14 lead with 5:37 left in regulation, but two goals by Berry were enough to hold off the Tigers with a 16-15 loss, Saturday afternoon at Vahalia Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-After Sewanee trailed 2-1 after the first quarter, the Tigers scored three straight goals in the first two-plus minutes of the second period to take a 4-2 lead.
-The home team responded with nine straight goals to reclaim the lead, 11-4 with 4:17 left in the period as the Vikings took a 12-6 halftime lead.
-In the third quarter, four different Tigers started the scoring to cut the deficit to 12-10 with 6:06 left in the period, but Berry held on to the lead with two of the final three goals of the quarter to lead 14-11.
-The Tigers chipped away at the deficit again, and with 7:13 left in the fourth quarter, Cameron Acuff evened the contest with an unassisted goal.
-Almost two minutes later, and an Ian Marr ground ball pickup to give Sewanee possession, Will Pratt found the pass from Thomas Lynde and gave Sewanee the lead, 15-14, with 5:37 to go.
-However, the Vikings took advantage of turnovers by the visitors to reclaim the lead for good.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Hayden Hunt and Cameron Acuff led the Tigers with six points apiece, four goals and two assists.
-Will Pratt posted four points on two goals and assists each.
-Ryan Stubits won 20-of-34 face off attempts and scooped up 11 ground balls.
BERRY KEY STATISTICS
-Justin Westbrook scored seven times to lead all scorers.
-McKinley Gannon recorded three goals and an assist.
