Box Score CONWAY, Ark. - The Sewanee men's lacrosse team spoiled Senior Night at Hendrix with a 19-12 victory over the Warriors of Hendrix College Friday night at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-After Hendrix started the scoring with a goal to start the game, Sewanee tacked on two goals in a row to lead 2-1. Thomas Lynde started the scoring for Sewanee on a Cameron Acuff assist, while Will Pratt gave Sewanee its first lead with 6:06 left in the opening quarter.
-The teams went back and forth scoring goals. Tied at three with 71 seconds left in the opening period, the Tigers scored three straight goals to take a 6-3 lead into the second stanza.
-Leading 7-5 with 5:14 left in the half, the Tigers dropped five straight goals, two by Daniel Burnum and a man-down goal by Kip McGuire to give the Purple and Gold a 12-5 lead at the break.
-Sewanee pulled away from the Warriors with three straight goals at the end of the third quarter to lead 16-7 after three quarters en route to a 19-12 win.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Hayden Hunt, Daniel Burnum and Kip McGuire each laced a hat trick for the Tigers in the win. Burnum and Hunt each added an assist.
-Henry Burns also attributed four points with one goal and three assists.
-On defense, Ian Marr forced four turnovers.
Ryan Stubits won 21-of-34 faceoffs and collected 11 ground balls.
HENDRIX KEY STATISTICS
-Spencer Dorfneilsen and Max Lynch each scored three goals to lead the Warriors.
-Taylor Noack saved 19 shots between the pipes.
UP NEXT
The Tigers will conclude the regular season Sunday afternoon against Rhodes. A rematch of last year's SAA Tournament final, Sewanee will need a win to lock a first round bye in the 2019 SAA Tournament.
