Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee women's soccer team conquered a slow first half to take 17 shots in the second half, as the Tigers defeated the Wolves of Wesleyan (Ga.), 4-1, Wednesday night from Puett Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers struggled to find passes in the first half, as the team took eight shots in the first 35 minutes. However, only two shots were on goal.
-Sewanee found the offense in the second half, netting four goals in the period.
-Sam Morgan got the scoring started with her third goal in the 50th minute off a Paige Rupp assist.
-10 minutes later, Kiera Giacomini intercepted a goal kick pass from the Wesleyan keeper for her second goal of the season.
-The Wolves broke the shutout in the 69th minute, but the Tigers added two insurance goals late in the contest. Maggie Gall (1) netted her goal in the 78th minute, and Morgan scored her second of the contest and her third of the season in the 84th minute.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Sam Morgan scored both of her goals on two shots.
-Maggie Gall added a goal of her own, while Paige Rupp notched two assists.
-Hanna Judycki (2-5-2) saved one shot in over 70 minutes in goal.
WESLEYAN KEY STATISTICS
-Audrey Mecklenburg scored her second goal of the season to lead the visitors.
-Kayleigh Buie (1-4-1) saved four shots in 80 minutes in goal.
