HOW IT HAPPENED
-The lone run of the contest came in the opening frame all without the benefit of a hit. After Riley Brandvold led off the contest with a free pass, he advanced to third on two wild pitches.
-After a strikeout, Chris McNulty brought the leadoff runner home on a groundout.
-Millsaps had two hits in the second, but the defense left them stranded on base.
-In the bottom of the fifth, after a 54-minute rain delay, the Majors had another attempted rally going, thanks to a lead off base knock by Jimmy Johnstone.
-After a sacrifice bunt to push Johnstone to second, he was out at third on a run-down play.
-Drew Mancuso was dazzling on the mound, retiring 12 of the final 13 batters he faced.
THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED…
-Sewanee's last 1-0 contest came also came in Jackson on April 2, 2016 in a seven-inning affair, but the Tigers were on the short end of the contest.
-The last 1-0 victory by Sewanee came on April 4, 2015 in a home contest against Oglethorpe, where Ryan Tillman had 6.1 perfect innings and seven no-hit innings.

-Riley Brandvold recorded a hit and scored the lone run in the win.
-Drew Mancuso (3-3) tossed a complete game shutout on 102 pitches, 73 strikes. He allowed four hits and one walk with nine strikeouts.
MILLSAPS KEY STATISTICS
-Jimmy Johnstone went 2-for-3 to lead Millsaps on offense.
-Langston Haden (3-2), who had a no-hitter through 5.2 innings, went seven innings and allowed the lone hit with five strikeouts.
