HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee started the contest with a Chris McNulty double to bring home Riley Brandevold.
-Rhodes scored four runs, three in the third and one in the fourth,
-The Tigers added a run to cut the deficit to 4-2 off a McNulty sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth.
-However, the Lynx scored three in the bottom half of the inning to put the contest out of reach.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Chris McNulty went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
-Trey Akins and Derek Hullings each tallied two hits each.
-Trey Holland (0-1) allowed three earned runs in 3.1 innings pitched as the starter in the series finale.
RHODES KEY STATISTICS
-Paul Giacomazzi finished with six hits in the twinbill, including a 4-for-5 performance at the plate in game one.
-Jack Mercer (2-1) struck out 12 batters in five innings, allowing two earned on five hits in game one.
-Trey Sledge (2-1) fanned nine batters in six innings of two-run ball in the late night cap.
