Field Hockey Falters at Transylvania in Regular Season Finale

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Sewanee field hockey team fell to the Transylvania Pioneers, 4-0, Sunday afternoon from Pat Deacon Stadium.

Transylvania (7-10, 3-3) netted two goals in each half to secure the win.

Sewanee (7-7, 3-3) posted three shots, one by Katie Wilson, Abbie Wrather and Virginia Barry.

Katya Waters (6-7) saved 12 shots in the loss.

The Tigers will next prepare for the 2017 Southern Athletic Association Field Hockey Tournament, beginning next Friday. Times and opponents will be announced by the conference office. Rhodes, who finished undefeated in conference play, will host the postseason event.
