Box Score

ROME, Ga. (Sept. 24, 2016)  A goal by senior forward student-athlete Shelby Meckstroth led the Sewanee women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Southern Athletic Association (SAA) member Berry, Saturday.

Early in the second half, Meckstroth received a pass from classmate Baker Walls and ripped in the game-winning goal.

Meckstroth now has 33 career goals which are just seven scores off the all-time school record held by Catrien van Assendelft.

After Berry outshot the Tigers in the opening 45 minutes, Sewanee adjusted in the second half. The Tigers finished with an 11-8 advantage in shots in the second half while Samantha Bourgeois finished with eight saves.

Sewanee will now play its final non-conference game this season with a 7:30 p.m. home match against NCAA Division II scholarship program Trevecca, Wednesday.
