Box Score JACKSON, Miss. (April 3, 2016) – Southern Athletic Association (SAA) foe Milsaps completed a three-game sweep of the Sewanee baseball team, Sunday, at Twenty Field.
The Majors won the game 2-1, which dropped the Tigers to 3-29 overall and 2-13 in SAA play.
After Millsaps added a single run in the bottom of the third and fifth innings, Tyler Minkkinen drove in Ryan Poole with a SAC fly to center in the top of the seventh.
Millsaps starter Kenny Wright and relievers Mardick and Guerin combined for three strikeouts and allowed only seven hits.
Sewanee starter Drew Mancuso gave up nine hits and both runs while striking out five in 8.0 innings.
Jackson Cooper, Mancuso, and Poole all led Sewanee at the plate with two hits.
Sewanee returns to action against Hiwassee on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
