Dillon nets game winner as Emory defeats Sewanee, 1-0

ATLANTA (Oct. 4, 2016)  Sophia Dillon netted the game-winning goal midway through the second half which led Emory to a 1-0 win over the Sewanee women's soccer team, Tuesday, at the Woodruff PE Center.

Dillon's goal was set up by Anna Gurney, who found her teammate with a great pass across the box.

Overall, Emory dominated possession with a 33-3 shot advantage. Emory also had eight corners while limiting the Tigers to none.

Individually, goalkeeper Samantha Bourgeois closed out a busy evening with eight saves. 

Emory finished with 10 players with at least two shots.

With its final non-conference match wrapped up, Sewanee returns to conference action with a 5:00 p.m. match against Millsaps, Friday.
