Baseball season comes to a close with 4-0 loss against Hendrix

JACKSON, Miss. (April 25, 2015) – The Sewanee baseball team's 2015 season came to an end Saturday with a 4-0 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Tournament loss against Hendrix at Twenty Field.

The Tigers ended their season with an 11-24 overall record under first-year head coach David Jenkins.

The Warriors were led by their outstanding pitching from starter Will Nichol. Nichol tossed a complete-game four-hit shutout. He allowed Sewanee only four runners while striking out eight.

Along with Nichol, Hendrix had enough offense with runs in the third, fourth, and fifth innings.

Sewanee starter Charles Warren was tagged with the loss after he gave up three runs in 4.0 innings.

Jackson Cooper, Tony Dykes, Derek Hullings, and Michael Walker all had one hit for the Tigers.
