Baseball wins third straight behind Basham's pitching performance

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (March 18, 2015) – The Sewanee baseball team won its third straight game Wednesday, as the Tigers earned a 6-1 victory over Colby-Sawyer in Winter Haven, Florida.

The Tigers now have an even 7-7 record while Colby-Sawyer dropped to 0-6.

Sewanee again was consistent at the plate with 10 hits and runs in the bottom of the second, third, fifth, and eighth innings.

On the mound, Brad Basham got his first career win after he limited Colby-Sawyer to six hits and a run while striking out two in 6.0 innings.

At the plate, Ben Clune finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base. Tyler Minkkinen also played well with two hits, both doubles, an RBI, and a run scored.

First baseman Drew Mancuso also added two hits, including a triple, and two runs scored.

Sewanee will look to continue its winning streak with a noon (EST) contest against Gallaudet, Thursday.
