Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. (Oct. 3, 2015) – The Sewanee women's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to five straight matches with a dominate 3-0 win over Southern Athletic Association (SAA) member Oglethorpe, Saturday, at Puett Field.
The Tigers are now 5-3-2 overall and 1-0-1 in SAA play. Sewanee has not lost since September 15.
Controlling possession throughout the match, Sewanee got on the board when Tyler Edell netted her second straight game-winner off a cross from Mary "Sissy" Frank.
Eventually Sewanee added two more second-half goals as Katie Morrison ripped a shot in the upper third of the far post off a touch pass from Callie Ruf and Edell scored off a pass from Erin Gill.
Sewanee finished with 17 shots while limiting OU to just three attempts.
Over the past three matches, Sewanee has not allowed a goal. During that stretch, the Tigers have outscored their opponents 10-0.
Sewanee will look to continue its recent success with a 5:00 p.m. match against rival Rhodes, Friday.
