Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. (Sept. 12, 2014) – Led by goals from six different players and assists from two other student-athletes, the Sewanee field hockey team earned a 9-0 win over Ferrum, Friday, at Puett Field.
Playing their first home match of the season, the Tigers had their best offensive performance since September 2012. Sewanee amassed 36 shots and 18 corners.
Individually, Allegra Massey-Elim, Sarah Barry, and Kat Mulligan all finished with two goals. Kya Wence, Catherine Estes, and Virginia Barry added one score each while Massey-Elim, Monica Bueso, Mulligan, and Zue Billings (two) all contributed assists.
Sewanee will open Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play with an 11:00 a.m. match against Hendrix, Sunday.
