A pair of second-half goals lifts Berry past Sewanee

ROME, Ga. (Nov. 1, 2014) – Two second-half goals lifted Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Regular Season Champion Berry over the Sewanee women's soccer team, Saturday, at Ford Field. 

The Tigers wrapped up their regular season with a 12-5 record. That includes a 5-2 conference mark. Sewanee will head into the SAA Tournament as the No. 3 seed.

Berry broke through in the 51st minute when Maggie Midkiff scored with a left-footed shot over Sewanee keeper Nikki Johnston's head.

Midkiff would then add a late insurance goal off a pass from teammate Chandler Maddox.

Berry outshot Sewanee, 11-8. The host Vikings also won the corner battle, 3-2.
